Iran Warns United States and Israel Against Military Action, Says Past Wars Proved Failure
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong warning to the United States and the Israel, stating that any renewed military action against Iran would end in failure, just as previous confrontations did.
Speaking on the sidelines of a BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi, Araghchi responded to recent threats from American and Israeli officials, saying Iran has become accustomed to such rhetoric and remains unaffected by pressure or intimidation.
He stated that:
“We are accustomed to these threats,” Araghchi said. “They have long repeated their threats in various forms and manners. But they themselves also know that they have achieved nothing, and will achieve nothing, through these threats or even through the war they launched,” he added.
Reinforcing Iran’s stance, he emphasized that military solutions cannot resolve issues involving Iran, adding that diplomacy and respect remain the only viable paths forward.
He stated that:
“Today, in my remarks at BRICS, I once again emphasized that there is no military solution to issues concerning Iran,” he said. “Iran stands firm in the face of threats and does not bow. They have seen and experienced this themselves; they waged a 40-day war against us and saw the outcome. Iran resists pressure.”
Araghchi also claimed that Iran’s regional position has strengthened following recent conflicts, asserting that Tehran has successfully prevented its adversaries from achieving their objectives.
He stated that:
“Now, all countries acknowledge that the Islamic Republic was the victor in this war and succeeded in preventing its enemies from achieving their objectives while imposing its own will,” Araghchi said.
He further added that regional discussions at BRICS indicated a shift in how countries perceive stability and security in the Middle East.
Addressing the United Arab Emirates, Araghchi criticized its alleged role during the conflict, claiming it supported adversaries by allowing the use of its territory and infrastructure.
He stated that:
“During this war, the UAE stood alongside the United States and cannot portray itself as a victim and say that its territory was attacked,” he said.
Araghchi also warned regional countries against relying on foreign military partnerships for security, suggesting that cooperation within the region would be more effective than external alliances.
He concluded by stressing that neighboring countries must prioritize diplomacy and mutual cooperation, stating that long-term regional stability can only be achieved through dialogue rather than conflict.
