Meanwhile, a source said the US government is planning to redirect Iranian assets to Gulf countries to help repair any damage caused by recent tensions and attacks. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has also asked a team to review the cost of damage already done to US allies in the Gulf region.
The idea is to possibly use Iranian assets to support rebuilding efforts, although details are still under review.
This follows reports that Iran is demanding the release of its frozen assets as part of a possible peace deal with the US.
Officials have not shared full details yet, but discussions are ongoing on how these funds and assets could be used in the future.
