Senior Iranian Adviser Warns Against New Military Action by US or Israel

A senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohsen Rezaei, has warned that any new military confrontation initiated by the United States or Israel would result in significant casualties. Speaking in an interview with the U.S.-based NewsNation television network, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Iran has developed new military capabilities that would be used if another conflict erupts.
Rezaei stated that any future war would differ substantially from previous confrontations, warning that even a limited military threat against Iran could trigger a much more destructive response. He specifically said that U.S. President Donald Trump should be aware that a new conflict would carry far greater human costs than before.
The Iranian official also questioned Washington’s commitment to ongoing diplomatic efforts, saying Iran’s negotiating team had participated in recent talks in Switzerland in good faith while accusing the United States of failing to honor its commitments. His remarks come amid continued regional tensions and efforts to maintain diplomatic engagement over Iran’s nuclear program and broader security issues.
