Hezbollah Lawmaker Slams US-Sponsored Lebanon–Israel Framework Agreement

A Lebanese lawmaker from Hezbollah’s political wing has strongly criticized the US-sponsored framework agreement between the Lebanese government and the Israeli side, describing it as “null and void.” The remarks came amid ongoing political debate in Lebanon over regional security arrangements and ceasefire-related understandings.

Ibrahim al-Moussawi, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, said on Wednesday that the sacrifices of Hezbollah fighters and “martyrs” stand in stark contrast to what he described as the conduct of Lebanese authorities. He accused officials of submitting to external pressure and undermining national interests.

The lawmaker further claimed that the Lebanese authorities had aligned itself with “American dictates,” while asserting that regional dynamics shaped by Iran had played a role in securing ceasefire conditions. His comments reflect continuing tensions over Lebanon’s internal divisions and its approach to regional diplomatic frameworks.
