Leaders from Over 30 Countries Expected at Funeral of Martyred Ayatollah Khamenei in Tehran

Senior officials and representatives from more than 30 countries, including Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Georgia, and Cuba, are arriving in Iran to attend the funeral ceremonies of Martyred Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, according to Iranian diplomatic sources. The ceremonies come after his reported assassination in a US-Israeli strike during the recent 40-day conflict.

Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, is expected to travel to Tehran as a special envoy of President Vladimir Putin. Iranian officials confirmed his participation in the high-level delegation representing Moscow at the funeral.

Pakistan will also send a delegation led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while Georgia’s president is expected to attend the rites. Cuba will be represented by its Higher Education Minister and a senior official from its Foreign Ministry, reflecting broad international participation in the ceremonies.
