Iranian Foreign Ministry Highlights Khamenei’s Focus on Dignity and Independence

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s lifelong mission was centered on pursuing Iran’s dignity, independence, and sovereignty. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Baghaei said these principles remained central to what he described as the late leader’s political and ideological outlook.

Baghaei said Ayatollah Khamenei consistently emphasized national dignity and independence as key elements of Iran’s identity. He added that these positions had drawn international attention toward the late leader and his views.

The comments came after funeral ceremonies were held in Tehran and Qom, where Iranian officials and supporters gathered to pay respects. According to Iranian authorities, large crowds attended the events, with mourners honoring Ayatollah Khamenei and other martyrs of the reported attack.
