Yemeni Official Says Khamenei’s Martyrdom Will Strengthen Resistance Movement

A senior Yemeni official attending funeral ceremonies in Tehran said the death of Martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei would mark a new phase for supporters of the Axis of Resistance. Major General Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Yemen’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, said those expecting the movement to weaken after his death were mistaken.

Ruwaishan made the remarks while leading a high-level Yemeni delegation to the ceremonies, saying the visit was intended to offer condolences to Iran and reaffirm Yemen’s support for the Axis of Resistance. He said the delegation’s presence reflected what he described as the close ties between the two sides.

The Yemeni official said Khamenei’s legacy would continue to influence future generations and described his death as a new chapter rather than an ending for the resistance movement. He added that, in his view, the event would encourage further mobilization and awareness among supporters of the cause.
