Protesters in London Demand Release of Detained Palestinian Doctor

Demonstrators gathered outside the British Prime Minister’s office, calling for the immediate release of Dr. Hassan Abu Safiya and other Palestinian healthcare workers detained in Israeli prisons. Protesters held banners and chanted slogans urging the UK government to take action over the continued detention of medical personnel.

Dr. Hassan Abu Safiya served as the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza when he was detained by Israeli forces in December 2024.
