Kata’ib Hezbollah Leader Vows to Continue ‘Path of Resistance’

The secretary general of Iraq’s Kata’ib Hezbollah, Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, has pledged that his group will continue what it describes as the path of resistance, dismissing threats from its adversaries and urging Iraqi government officials and political leaders to respect what he called the will and demands of the Arab nation. His remarks were made in a statement released on Friday.

Al-Hamidawi said it was difficult for his group to accept the Martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, whom he described as a leader for supporters of freedom and the oppressed. He added that members of Kata’ib Hezbollah had followed Ayatollah Khamenei’s guidance for decades and would remain committed to the course and principles he espoused.

The militia leader also said his fighters had long been present on battlefields and involved in various confrontations, emphasizing that the group would continue its activities despite challenges. His statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following recent developments involving Iran and its allied groups.
