US Launches Heavy Attacks on Iran for 11th Consecutive Night, Strikes Hit 8 Cities Across 5 Provinces
US forces carried out heavy airstrikes on Iranian cities and military sites for the 11th consecutive night, with explosions also reported near the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest strikes targeted Iranian military operation centres, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities and logistics infrastructure.
Iranian media reported explosions in several areas, including Mahshahr, Behbahan and Omidiyeh in Khuzestan, Tabriz in the northwest, and the port cities of Chabahar and Konarak in Sistan and Baluchistan.
Iranian air defence systems were also activated in parts of Tehran and Mahabad to intercept potential threats.
Two large explosions were reported in Bushehr, raising concerns because the city hosts Iran’s nuclear power plant. However, there was no immediate confirmation of direct damage to the facility.
Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Joint Military Headquarters warned that any attack on the country’s nuclear facilities by the US or its allies could further expand the war and trigger a strong response.
Meanwhile, CENTCOM claimed Iran had targeted more than 30 commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months, although shipping continues in the strategic waterway.
