Iran Warns US Assets Will Not Remain Safe if Iranian Targets Are Attacked

Iran Pushes Back Enemy in 'History-Making' War, Says Parliament Speaker Qalibaf
TEHRAN: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has warned that US assets in the region will not remain safe if Iranian economic and strategic assets come under attack.
Reacting to remarks by US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, Qalibaf said Iran’s oil and gas production infrastructure was well known, while American energy companies and assets across the region were equally visible.
He said Iran had already demonstrated its capabilities and pointed to damaged and unusable US military bases as evidence of the impact of Iranian operations.
Iranian Navy Commander Shahram Irani also warned that Tehran could disrupt enemy forces wherever necessary.
He said Iranian operations had surprised opposing forces and affected their military capabilities, while the Iranian Navy had succeeded in limiting the operational effectiveness of enemy warships for extended periods.
Irani said Iranian forces were continuing to closely monitor the movements and activities of opposing military forces.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said commercial vessels would face difficulties safely transiting the Strait of Hormuz through what it described as a US-designated corridor.
The IRGC advised vessels seeking safe passage to use routes designated by Iran.
It further warned that vessels entering the Gulf of Oman could also face security risks and said maritime traffic was being monitored across the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman.
The statements come amid growing tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important waterway connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
Iran has repeatedly warned that any military action against its territory or strategic assets could trigger a broader response against US interests in the region.
Qalibaf’s latest warning, alongside the comments from the Iranian Navy and IRGC, underscores Tehran’s position that attacks on Iranian infrastructure could carry consequences for American military and economic assets across the wider region.
