Indian Media’s False and Fabricated Reports During Failed Operation Sindoor Exposed

The Indian media’s false and fabricated reporting during the failed Operation Sindoor has once again been exposed.

During the May 2025 Pakistan-India conflict, several Indian media outlets were accused of spreading false narratives and fabricated stories that were not based on facts.

Former Indian military officers have now also exposed the misleading reporting and false narratives promoted by sections of the Indian media.

Retired Indian Army Major General Rajan Kochhar said that around 90 percent of Indian media channels were reporting against the facts during the May 2025 conflict between Pakistan and India.

According to Major General (Retired) Rajan Kochhar, Indian media did not have verified, ground-based information during Operation Sindoor. He said Indian television channels were creating their own stories during the conflict.

After facing heavy attacks from Pakistan during the conflict, Indian media continued trying to create meaningless and illogical narratives, according to the claims.

Experts say the former Indian officer’s statement once again supports the view that sections of the Indian media relied on self-created and misleading stories.

They said Indian media outlets made exaggerated and unrealistic claims in an attempt to hide India’s setbacks and mislead the international community, resulting in widespread criticism and embarrassment.
