Iran Warns US, Israel of ‘Severe’ Response to Any New Attack

Tehran: Iran has warned the United States and Israel that any renewed military action against the country would face a severe response.
Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said Iran’s armed forces were more prepared than ever to respond to a new attack.
In a statement posted on X, Azizi said Iranian forces were waiting for any possible military action by the United States or Israel and warned of a response that would be stronger than previous operations.
He said Iran’s forces were ready and that any new attack would result in what he described as a devastating response.
Azizi did not specify the nature or scale of any potential Iranian military response.
Iranian Defence Ministry spokesperson Reza Talaei-Nik separately said Tehran would deliver a decisive response to any new US or Israeli attack.
He also said Iran’s ability to produce weapons and ammunition had increased significantly since the war began.
The warnings come as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict continue, with Pakistan and Qatar involved in efforts to facilitate communication between Washington and Tehran.
Qatar confirmed on Tuesday that indirect talks and exchanges of messages between the United States and Iran were continuing.
