Iran Threatens ‘Father of All Missiles’ Response if Trump Uses ‘Mother of All Bombs’

An Iranian lawmaker has reportedly warned that Iran would respond with powerful missiles if the United States uses its “Mother of All Bombs” against the country.

A statement attributed to Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of Iran’s parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said Washington would pay a heavy price if it crossed Iran’s red lines.

The statement reportedly said that if US President Donald Trump used the “Mother of All Bombs,” Iran would respond with what it called the “Father of All Missiles.” However, the statement did not identify a specific Iranian missile system.

The warning comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran over the possibility of US military strikes against Iran’s underground nuclear-related facilities.

Iran Says It Will Maintain Its Position on Strait of Hormuz

The statement attributed to Boroujerdi also stressed that Iran would maintain its position on the Strait of Hormuz and would not change its policy under US pressure.

He reportedly described Iran’s stance as a response to decades of US sanctions against the Iranian people.

The Strait of Hormuz is a key global shipping route connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman. Large volumes of oil and natural gas pass through the waterway, making it important for global energy supplies and trade.

Any military escalation or disruption to shipping in the strait could affect international oil prices and increase economic pressure on energy-importing countries.
