25 million people vaccinated in Pakistan so far, says Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Sunday.

He tweeted that total number of people vaccinated has now crossed 2 crores.

Moreover, the government is planning further acceleration for August.

They set target for all major cities to have at least 40 percent of eligible population vaccinated by the end of August.

Meanwhile, national tally of total active COVID-19 cases recorded 55,720 on Sunday.

As many as 2,819 more people tested positive for the deadly virus.

However, 1,176 people recovering from the disease during the last 24 hours.

According to the latest update from National command and Operation Centre (NCOC), forty-five corona patients have died during past 24 hours.

41 of whom remained under treatment in the hospitals and four of them perished in their respective quarantines or homes.
