PM will not make any compromise

He said the PTI-led government remains committed to hold across-the-board accountability of all corrupt elements without any discrimination.

The minister categorically said Prime Minister Imran Khan will make no compromise on accountability.

He pointed out that the previous governments plundered the national exchequer with both the hands and used NAB for political gains.

But, he added, Prime Minister Imran Khan brought national intuitions under laws.

The minister urged the opposition to avoid political point-scoring on national issues and joint hands with the government in its efforts to fight global pandemic of Coronavirus.

Senator Shibli Faraz also urged the opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif to face accountability instead of protecting personal interests.

Earlier Information Minister said media is working freely in Pakistan.

While talking to a private TV channel, he further said that the government is taking steps for betterment of journalist community.

Shibli Faraz urged the media to play its positive role for betterment of the country and its people.

However, he also said the government and journalists can resolve the issues which the media is confronting.

The Minister said the previous governments did not pay attention to formulating media laws. He said today media is not facing those restrictions and hardships as in the past.
