Coronavirus kills 24 more people during last 24 hours raising death toll to 618.

According to official sources, the tally of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country has risen to 27, 474.

They reported 1,637 new cases during the last twenty-four hours.

As per province-wise data, 10,471 cases detected in Punjab while 9691 detected in Sindh so far.

Moreover, 4327 cases reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1876 in Balochistan, 421 in Gilgit Baltistan, 609 in Islamabad and 79 in Azad Kashmir.

7,756 patients have so far recovered from the virus.

Now the death toll stands at 618 with 24 new deaths reported during the last twenty-four hours.

On the other hand, Government of Balochistan has decided to ease lockdown in Balochistan from Saturday (May 9, 2020).

According to notification of Home and Tribal Affairs Department, all shopping malls, markets, shops, stores, depots auto workshops, will remain open from 0300 hours to 1700 throughout the week.

Similarly, restaurants will remain open 24 hour only for home delivery.

All preventive measures are required to be taken by business community and general public in shopping malls bazars and markets.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged people to take precautionary measures to save their lives in fight against coronavirus.

In a statement, he called for adopting the principle of social distancing to avoid the spread of the virus.
