They discussed prevailing economic situation in the country during the meeting.

Planning Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar, Advisor on Finance Dr. Hafeez Shaikh, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and other senior officials attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, another team briefed the PM on situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting on Covid-19 situation in the country.

Earlier, 28 more people died of Coronavirus during last 24 hours.

It raised the death toll to 667, according to government figures. 

The government authorities said the nationwide tally of Coronavirus rose to 30,941.

The death toll stands at 667 with 28 new deaths reported during the last twenty four hours.

Among them 1,476 new cases reported during the last twenty four hours.

They said 11,568 cases detected in Punjab so far, 11,480 in Sindh while 4,669 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 2,017 in Balochistan.

Moreover, 442 cases reported in Gilgit Baltistan so far, 679 in Islamabad and 86 in Azad Kashmir.

8,212 patients have so far recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) also met on Monday.

They mulled over post May 9 lockdown status and the implementation mechanism for Ramazan standard operating procedures (SOPs) devised by the provinces.
