Sindh government allows resumption of inter city public transport

Sindh govt allows resumption of inter city public transport in Karachi from Wednesday.

Provincial Minister for Transport Awais Qadir Shah made this announcement, while talking to the media.

Earlier, the government made decision in this regard during a meeting with transporters.

Transporters held talks with the Sindh government officials  in Karachi on Tuesday.

Minister said the government made it mandatory that all transporters follow standard operating procedure in this regard.

He warned that in case of violation of SOPs, provincial government would close transport.

Earlier, Covid19 claimed 78 more lives during last 24 hours raising death toll to 1621. 

However, 27,110 patients have so far recovered from the virus.

As per official figures, the death toll now stands at 1,621.

As many as 78 deaths reported during the last twenty-four hours.

Meanwhile, confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan soared to 76,398

The emergence of 3,938 new infections over the last twenty-four hours has taken the nationwide tally of coronavirus to 76,398.

27,850 cases detected in Punjab so far, 29,647 in Sindh, 10,485 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,514 in Balochistan, 2,893 in Islamabad, 738 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 271 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill has urged the opposition parties to take unified stance to successfully fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
