UN asks Pakistan and India to avoid escalating tension.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for avoiding steps that will escalate tensions between Pakistan and India.

Stephane Dujarric, UN Secretary-General’s Spokesman, said this while answering a question from APP at a virtual news briefing in New York.

The spokesman said Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Secretary-General did have a conversation last week.

He said they had already circulated the FM’s to the UN member states.

According to Radio Pakistan, more than twenty British Parliamentarians and Human rights lawyers from Kuwait and Bahrain also called for a peaceful solution of Kashmir issue as per wishes of Kashmiris.

They noted Indian governments abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and continued lockdown has added to the miseries of Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, Indian troops killed one more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district on Tuesday.

The Indian forces conducted a cordon and search operation in Saimoh area of the district.
