Pakistan Cricket Board HQ to remain closed by end June 2020, said a spokesman for the PCB on Monday.

He said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium would remain closed till June 30 owing to rapid growth of coronavirus cases in the provincial capital.

Earlier, the PCB office had remained closed till June 21.

However, the PCB authorities have decided now for further closure of the offices as Lahore has seen a record increase in COVID-19 cases in the recent day.s

The headquarters, closed on March 17 after outbreak of COVID-19, remained closed for more than two months.

All the employees were working from home.

The office was reopened in the first week of June for few days but again closed due to increase in coronavirus cases.

“All employees will again be doing their day-to-day work from home,” he said.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board ruled out holding of ICC events during ongoing year.

The PCB chairman Ehsan Mani expressed these views, while addressing a online video conference on Wednesday.

He said that during the current year no International Cricket Council event can take place due to ongoing situation of coronavirus pandemic all over the world.

However, he hopes chances that next year when situation becomes conducive ICC will take place.
