A graduation ceremony at the US’s University of Michigan turned into a demonstration in favour of Palestine.

Police officers tried to push the pro-Palestinian protesters with bicycles and also arrested several of them.

Protests against Israeli aggression are also going on at Virginia State University, where police arrested 25 students and dismantled the pro-Palestinian protest camps.

According to foreign media reports, more than 2,400 students have been arrested in America since April 17.

Earlier, students in most of the American universities have announced that they will continue to protest in favour of the Palestinians even during the summer vacations, making it clear that the camps will not be evacuated even during the holidays.

Protests at US universities against the Gaza war are likely to continue for months as student organizations say they will not vacate campuses after recent exams and that protests will continue into the next semester.

On the other hand, the action of the police against the protesters is also ongoing as the US police have started demolishing the protest camps of students in New York University. The number of students arrested across the country has increased to more than 2,200.

The president of the University of Chicago has also said that the protest camp in favour of the Palestinians will not be tolerated.
