However, 304,185 patients recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan.

According to the latest statistics, 385 more people tested Covid positive after the tests of 26,951 over the last twenty-four hours.

Moreover, the  pandemic claimed lives of 10 more people across the country.

The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 304,185.

There are now 8,552 active cases in the country.

Meanwhile, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar Sunday expressed concerns over rising cases of COVID-19.

He said that the government had started imposing smart lock down again to contain the spread of the pandemic.

In a tweet, Asad Umar said that during previous six weeks, the average positivity ratio of COVID remained under 2 percent.

However, he further said, the positivity rate went above 2 percent that in the outgoing week which he called a matter of concern.

Asad Umar also chairs the meeting of National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on coronavirus.

He said the government already imposed mini smart lock down in Islamabad, Karachi, and Azad Kashmir.

They did so in order to avoid the increase in cases in the country.

Besides, he informed that the administration had also been directed to ensure protective measures across the country.
