Afghan Wolesi Jirga speaker Mir Rahman begins Pakistan visit as he has landed in Islamabad today.

Speaker of the Afghan Wolesi Jirga Mir Rahman Rahmani is conducting a six-day official visit.

He is being accompanied by seventeen-member parliamentary delegation.

Earlier, Afghan Hezb e Islami head Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has visited Pakistan.

Prior to him, Afghan leader Abdullah Abdullah also had visited Pakistan.

During aforesaid meetings,  Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted Pakistan’s reconciliatory role.

Meanwhile, Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani also shared views with Hezb-e-Islami Afghanistan leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.

He said the government, parliament and people of Pakistan have cordial relations with the brotherly people of Afghanistan based on shared history, faith and culture.

Notably, President Dr Arif Ali advised Afghan brothers to remain aware of spoilers like India.

He further said this in a tweet in which he described the 40 years of Afghan conflict as a “story of total devastation” on Tuesday.

He advised the brotherly nation to be aware of spoilers like India, which did not want peace.
