The Sindh government also ordered businesses to remain shut on weekends.

KEDA president Muhammad Rizwan Irfan termed the notified timings unfeasible for the owners.

He proposed that government should change the timing to 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Rizwan Irfan also mentioned business community’s cooperation with the authorities.

He said the new timings would do more harm than the previous lockdown.

He said the government should fulfil its responsibility but not take away the trader’s right to employment.

Meanwhile, Anjuman-e-Tajran [traders organisaton] Sindh also refused to accept news restrictions.

Its senior vice-president Jawaid Qureshi noted small scale businesses already suffering from the repercussions of the previous lockdown.

Moreover, President of Bolton Market Association Rafiq Jadoon also asked the government to reconsider its decision.

Other bodies of traders also made similar demand.

Common man and particularly daily wagers would be ultimate victim and sufferer of the restrictions but they don’t have any organization to issue such press statements.

Vendors depend on their daily earnings. And so are labour/workers and drivers, etc.
