CPEC authority chairman meets Minister to discuss progress of projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Chairman CPEC Authority Lt Gen (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa called on Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad today (Monday).

During the meeting, the progress on various CPEC projects came under discussion.

According to a press release, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi appreciated the efforts of the chairman CPEC authority.

He lauded the team CPEC Authority to ensure swift completion of the various projects.

Moreover, the minister Ali Zaidi expressed hope that the CPEC would transform Pakistan into an industrial and logistical hub.

Meanwhile, Asim Saleem Bajwa expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the minister towards the success of CPEC.

Later, Chairman CPEC Authority, General Retired Asim Salim Bajwa also held a meeting with Foreign Secretary.

According to a press release of the Foreign Office, the meeting held in Islamabad today (Monday).

Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood said Pakistan and China firmly remain committed to the timely completion of CPEC projects.

He said both countries are making it a High-Quality Demonstration Project of BRI.

Furthermore, he noted a complete national consensus on CPEC’s indispensability for our national development efforts.

Sohail Mahmood underlined CPEC as a transformational Project.

Meanwhile, Minister Omar Ayub, CPEC Authority Chairman Lt. Gen. (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Power Tabish Gouhar and Secretary Power Ali Raza Bhutta met ambassador of China.
