Adviser to PM foresees Pakistan as a hub for trade and transit and transshipment.

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood predicted success of the government’s vision.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, he said the government’s vision for trade and economic relations with Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics(CARs) would make Pakistan a hub for trade, transit and transshipment.

He further called for secure, open, consistent, reliable and legal movement of goods at the Afghan border.

Besides, Razzak Dawood emphasized enhanced connectivity with Afghanistan Central Asian Republics.

He specially underlined these a must for enhanced trade between Pakistan and CARs.

Moreover, he underlined this as a long-term Vision.

He further said that through our current engagement with Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, we are laying down the foundation for its implementation.

The adviser said this will ensure that Pakistan leverages its geo-economic location in the region to enhance its international trade.

Razak Dawood also mentioned the discussions with Afghanistan over the past few days a step in that direction.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to incentivize the business community and the industrial sector.

He said, while speaking at the launching ceremony of new vehicles being introduced in Pakistan, in Islamabad today (Friday).

The PM vowed to use the wealth through exports for uplift of the living standard of the ordinary people in the country.
