NCOC confirms critical condition of over 2360 Covid patients in Pakistan.

According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), they noted 5.38 percent national COVID Positivity Ratio on Wednesday,

As many as 2,366 Coronavirus patients reported in critical condition across the country.

Furthermore, it noted the number of critical patients rising at a fast pace.

As per NCOC, the positivity ratio determined on the basis of positive cases appearing in 100 samples of COVID patients.

They also observed the highest positivity ratio in Karachi that stood at 14.56 percent.

Peshawar followed with 9.92 percent and Mirpur 8.33 percent, according to the latest update.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 5.43 percent, Balochistan 7.39 percent, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 2.14 percent.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 6.25 percent, Punjab 3.63 percent and Sindh had 8.47 percent positivity ratio.

It also mentioned the Province wise COVID Positivity Ratio breakdown.

It indicated in Punjab: Lahore had maximum positivity ratio of 5.96 percent, Rawalpindi had 1.9 percent, Faisalabad 3.62 percent.

Moreover, Multan 2.73 percent, Bahawalpur 3.59 percent and Gujranwala 2.65 percent.

In Sindh: Karachi had 14.56 percent, Hyderabad 7.76 percent.

Moreover, in KP, Peshawar had 9.92 percent, Swat 3.52 and Abbotabad 1.82 percent.

In Baluchistan: Quetta had 8.04 percent, in ICT 2.14 percent positivity ratio was prevailing.

Besides, in AJK, Mirpur had 8.33 percent and Muzaffarabad had 1.35 positivity ratio.

Mortality Analysis

The update also showed Mortality Analysis during the prevailing pandemic outbreak as a total of 10,772 deaths were recorded with prevailing Case Fatality Rate of 2.12 percent against the global death rate of 2.14 percent.

As per the gender analysis of the deceased around 69 percent were males with 77.6 percent over the age of 50-year.

Around 74 percent of the perished COVID-19 patients had chronic comorbidities (affected with another disease prior to contracting Coronavirus).

Out of the total died COVID patients 91 percent of the deceased remained hospitalised and out if these patients 57 percent were on ventilators, it added.
