Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad spoke on the issue during a news conference.

He said no seminary student or banned militia will be allowed to participate in the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s protest before the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Furthermore, he underlined the sanctity of Election Commission as a constitutional institution.
Therefore, he warned that the government will not let anyone to intimidate Election Commission.
Moreover, Sheikh Rashid urged the Ulema and religious scholars to comply with the law.
He asked them to avoid using their students for politicking.
Sheikh reminded that it goes even against the sanctity of their stature.
The minister further warned the banned Ansar-ul-Islam members of action if spotted in the protest.
Meanwhile, he chaired a meeting to take stock of the law and order situation, which might arise due to the PDM’s protest in the Federal Capital.
He said the government is taking all precautionary measures.
Furthermore, Sheikh Rashid hoped that the PDM leadership will abide by the law.
He said the PDM has lost its momentum as its all member parties are now contesting by-polls and Senate elections.
The minister noted that the PDM parties are now backtracking from their decision of boycott.
