PM briefed on 18 proposed border markets along Iran and Afghanistan’s borders.

He presided over a review meeting in Islamabad regarding establishment of Boarder Markets along Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan and Iran.

Prime Minister Imran Khan underlined establishment of border markets as vital for the prosperity of the population living in border areas.

He was referring to aforesaid people of Balochistan and merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Furthermore, he directed to fast track the process of establishment of Border Markets to provide job opportunities to local people and to control smuggling.

Officials concerned briefed the meeting on steps they had taken to set up about 18 proposed border markets.

They further said that the government would establish four of them under pilot project.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan spoke on release of more than seventy-nine billion rupees developmental funds during the current fiscal year.

He shared this, while presiding over a review meeting of the ADP in Peshawar.

Moreover, he the CM said about eight hundred developmental projects entered in the final phases of completion across the province.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the funds utilization.

He directed to ensure hundred percent utilization of funds during the next six months.
