FM announces $25K token contribution to the UN SG Peace building Fund.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi made this announcement, while addressing a virtual High Level Replenishment Conference for UN Secretary General’s Peace-building Fund.

Moreover, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to multilateral cooperation for preserving peace, preventing conflict and realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He announced a token contribution of 25,000 dollars to the Secretary General’s Peace-building Fund.
The FM further said the pledge underscores Pakistan’s longstanding political, human and financial commitment to UN’s endeavors in peacekeeping and peace-building.
He said as a major troop and police contributing country, Pakistan take pride in its rich UN peacekeeping history.
He said over the last 60 years, Pakistan’s peacekeepers have represented the blue flag in 46 UN Missions across four continents of the world.
Meanwhile, talking to media at Parliament House, Shah Mahmood rejected any possibility of bilateral trade with India.
The Foreign Minister said Kashmir is not an internal issue of India but an internationally recognized dispute.
He said Pakistan has raised the Kashmir issue at international fora including the United Nations.
About Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister reiterated no military solution to the Afghan issue.
Besides, he underlined comprehensive dialogue as the only way forward.
He said priorities of the new US administration are in line with our vision we will continue to work for peace with it.
