Tear gas shells found from KPT’s garbage dump
Hundreds of tear gas shells have been recovered from a garbage dump on the plot of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) in Kemari area of Karachi.
According to the SSP Kemari, someone set fire to the waste bin, which burnt the shells, but no one fainted due to the burning of the shells.
He said that recovered tear gas shells are quite old and the number of tear gas shells found is more than 40.
The SSP further said that the tear gas shells found from garbage dump have been transferred to the Jackson police station. Further investigation is being conducted into the matter, he added.
On the other hand, Member of Sindh Assembly Muhammad Asif Khan claimed that the militants escaped by throwing hundreds of tear gas shells found from KPT plot and garbage dump in Kemari area of Karachi.
He claimed that due to the fire in the garbage dump, the tear gas shells burnt, injuring many citizens and rendering some people unconscious.
