Punjab, KP and Balochistan governors appointed

President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appointments of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan governors.
Sardar Saleem Haider is appointed the Governor of Punjab, for KP, Faisal Karim Kundi and Jaffar Khan Mandokhail was appointed as Balochistan Governor.
The President took action on advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in accordance with Article 101 (1) of the Constitution.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Faisal Karim Kundi were nominated by the Pakistan People’s Party for the key positions of Punjab and KP governorships.
While Jaffar Khan was the nominated by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.
It is pertinent to mention here that the currently ruling parties — PML-N and PPP — agreed to form a coalition government at the Centre after none of the party managed to secure majority in February 08 elections.
