Squid Game season two release date confirmed
The highly anticipated season two of “Squid Game” is on the horizon as Lee Jung-jae confirmed its release date.
Lee Jung-jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun in the South Korean Netflix drama, gave an update on the series on the Disney Upfronts red carpet on Tuesday.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, he confirmed that season 2 is set to premiere in December of this year.
It will focus on Gi-hun’s quest for vengeance as he aims to dismantle the organization behind the deadly games. The new season will continue to explore the harrowing experiences of contestants fighting for a massive cash prize revolving around Gi-hun.
Lee Jung-jae will reprise his iconic role, joined by returning cast members Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-jun.
Some new characters are also set to feature in the season notably, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun.
These newcomers are expected to bring fresh dynamics and unforeseen challenges to the narrative, with their roles kept under wraps, further heightening anticipation.
