Sindh announces summer vacations for schools

The Sindh Education Department has officially announced summer vacations for all government and private schools staring from June 01.

The decision was made as per the directions from the Steering Committee, according to a notification of the education department.

The notification read that the proposal to announce summer vacations in advance on the pattern of Punjab had been under consideration.

Moreover, the Punjab School Education Department on Monday revised the schedule for summer holidays across the province.

All government and private schools of Punjab, including Lahore, will be closed from May 25 now, read the notification.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said a large number of private schools contacted the government regarding early summer holidays.
