IHC acquits PTI founder, Qureshi in cipher case
The Islamabad High Court has suspended sentence awarded to PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Cipher case.
IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb had announced the reserved short verdict.
The court accepted the PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s pleas against their sentences and acquitted them.
Earlier, a trial court had awarded sentence of 10 years each to both the PTI leaders.
The central leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was present at the Islamabad High Court on the occasion of the verdict.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar, Ali Muhammad Khan, Faisal Javed and Shandana Gulzar were also present in the court room. Besides, sisters of the PTI founder and Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s wife and daughters were also present in the court room.
