X services restored? Here’s what PTA has to say
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Thursday issued a clarification regarding social media platform X, formerly Twitter, suspension across the country.
In a statement, PTA confirmed that X’s services are not restored and are not accessible to users in Pakistan.

Earlier in the day, the PTA’s lawyer Ahsan Imam informed the court that the authority has withdrawn its notification regarding the suspension of X services (formerly Twitter) in Pakistan.
During the proceedings, the PTA’s advocate informed the court that the earlier directive for shutting down access to X had been rescinded.
The court inquired whether this meant the platform was now restored.
However, lawyer Moeez Jafri, representing the opposing party stated that despite the withdrawal of the notification, users were still unable to access X.
The court reiterated that since there was no active notification mandating the closure of X, access to the platform should be restored.
