Azad Kashmiris Reaffirm Unwavering Bond with Pakistan, Deliver Strong Message to India

The people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have strongly reaffirmed their deep affection and enduring ties with Pakistan, rejecting what they described as attempts by disruptive elements to create divisions. On Pakistan’s Independence Day, citizens across Azad Kashmir took to the streets to celebrate and express their solidarity with Pakistan.
Rallies were held in cities, towns and streets across the region, with participants carrying Pakistani flags and chanting slogans including “We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours” and “Long Live Pakistan Army.” The gatherings reflected the strong emotional and national connection many Kashmiris say they share with Pakistan.
Expressing their sentiments, Kashmiri citizens said that “Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein” and that their lives and future are closely linked with Pakistan. They said they had stood with Pakistan through difficult times and would continue to do so.
Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir minister Mazhar Saeed Shah delivered a direct message to India, urging it not to celebrate what he described as misleading videos and to abandon attempts at creating unrest. He said that just as Indian pride was defeated during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, such attempts would also fail.
Shah emphasized that the relationship between Kashmir and Pakistan was not a temporary or one-day association but a bond of affection passed down through generations. The demonstrations across Azad Kashmir, he said, showed that attempts to undermine the relationship would not succeed in the face of the people’s continued solidarity and determination.
