Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik appointed DG ISI: ISPR
Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed as director general of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), says Inter-Services Public Relations here on Monday.
The newly appointed ISI chief has served as the commander of Infantry Division in Balochistan. He has also been posted as Chief Instructor NDU and Instructor Command and Staff College Quetta.
Currently, Lt Gen Malik is serving as an adjutant general at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the ISPR said.
He will assume his new charge on September 30.
Lt Gen Asim is also a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies, having received the Sword of Honor in his course.
It should be noted that the current DG ISI Lt General Nadeem Anjum was appointed as DG ISI on October 6, 2021.
