Ruckus mars KP Assembly session after CM Gandapur’s speech
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly witnessed a chaotic scene on Tuesday as lawmakers from treasury and opposition benches clashed over allegations of bribery.
The scuffle erupted after opposition members grew frustrated over the speaker’s refusal to give them the floor.
Lawmakers from both sides engaged in fistfights and verbal abuse, compromising the dignity of the assembly.
The brawl intensified when PTI members Naik Wazir and Iqbal Wazir got into a scuffle.
The uproar forced the speaker to call a 15-minute recess, but the session was ultimately adjourned until 3pm on Monday.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur delivered a fiery speech, criticising the recent actions of opposition parties and defending the government’s position.
