Five workers killed in gun attack in Panjgur

Five labourers were gunned by unknown assailants in Proom area of Panjgur today. 

“Fire was opened on a team tasked with maintenance of a dam,” a spokesperson for the Balochistan government confirmed.

Shahid Rind added that five workers were killed and two others sustained injuries in the qatack.

The bodies and the injured have been shifted to the Teaching Hospital Panjgur, he said.

He said that inquiry has been initiated into the incident.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has strongly condemned the attack and called it an unforgivable act. He pledged the perpetrators would be taken to the task.

Bugti emphasised that the terrorist acts intended to stop Balochistan’s progress would not succeed.

He further said that those responsible would be held accountable for their actions.

The chief minister said that the terrorists would never achieve their goals.
