YouTube is undergoing a change that most users have termed as the worst.
According to a report by Android Authority, this change is being made to YouTube’s mobile app that will change the experience of watching videos.
It should be noted that TikTok has changed the way of watching videos around the world and it involves swiping up to watch videos.
The same style was adopted in YouTube shorts inspired by TikTok, but now this method is also being adopted for scrolling in other horizontal videos of Google’s platform.
Yes indeed YouTube is testing this method in the standard video player.
The company is testing this change in Android devices among limited users.
Now if you swipe down on the full screen mode of the YouTube app, the vertical full page mode opens with comments and other options.
Similarly, swiping from the top brings up a bar of recommended videos or enables picture-in-picture mode.
The report stated that after this new change, it will now be possible to move from one video to another by swiping upwards, however, the exit button to exit full screen has been retained.
