Did Zakir Naik become reason for Indian team’s refusal to visit Pakistan?

India’s leading sports journalist Vikrant Gupta presented a strange logic for the Indian team not coming to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy2025.
Vikrant Gupta, while discussing on the social media platform of the Indian cricket website, linked the decision of the Indian team not to come to Pakistan with the visit of Islamic scholar Zakir Naik.
The sports journalist said that India has given Pakistan a list of terrorist organizations and individuals, if they had taken action against them, our government might have agreed to send its team.
Gupta said: “The Pakistani government gave Zakir Naik a warm welcome and gave him the status of a state guest. By doing this, Pakistan shot itself in the foot.”
The Indian journalist further said that ‘I would say that Pakistan has to choose either Zakir Naik or the Champions Trophy’.
The clip of Vikrant Gupta’s above statement went viral on social media, on which users are criticizing him severely.
