23 November, 2024 22:08

Former Indian cricketer and TV personality Navjot Singh Sidhu has shared the inspiring story of his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who has triumphed over stage IV cancer despite being given less than a 3% chance of survival.

In a recent press conference, Sidhu attributed her recovery to a combination of rigorous medical treatment, strong determination, and a carefully planned diet.

Sidhu detailed the strict dietary regimen that his wife followed throughout her treatment. Her mornings began with a mix of lemon water, raw turmeric, and apple cider vinegar, all known for their potential health benefits.

She also consumed neem leaves and tulsi, herbs traditionally used in medicine for their believed therapeutic properties.

Additionally, her diet included nutrient-dense foods such as sour fruits, juices, and berries, which Sidhu referred to as “strong medicine for cancer” due to their high antioxidant content.

For her evening meals, Sidhu mentioned that his wife replaced traditional staples like rice and roti with quinoa, a high-protein alternative.

Her morning tea consisted of a blend of spices including cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, jaggery, and cardamom, which are often believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Throughout her treatment, Sidhu emphasized that her diet was focused on anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer foods, with cooking done using coconut oil, cold-pressed oils, or almond oil.

While Sidhu emphasized the importance of diet in his wife’s recovery, he also acknowledged the role of medical treatment, which was primarily provided at Government Rajendra Medical College in Patiala.

He credited the support of her family and her own determination for contributing to her remarkable recovery.

Sidhu encouraged others battling cancer to believe that recovery is possible, stressing the importance of a disciplined lifestyle and staying positive.

“Believe me, cancer can be defeated,” he stated, underscoring the power of willpower and perseverance in overcoming the disease.
