PTI launches ‘defamation campaign’ against senior police officers on social media
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media handles have reportedly launched a defamation campaign targeting senior police officers in Punjab and Islamabad.
The campaign, which has gained significant attention across various online platforms, allegedly aims to tarnish the reputations of key law enforcement officials.
According to sources, the defamation efforts are being primarily carried out on social media platforms, with posts circulating widely on Twitter, Facebook, and other digital forums.
The content shared is said to involve baseless allegations, undermining the integrity and professionalism of the officers involved.
The authorities have stated that evidence of these defamatory posts has been collected, with plans to take appropriate legal action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.

Law enforcement sources have stressed the importance of verifying claims before sharing them publicly, particularly when it comes to serious allegations against individuals in positions of authority.
As the situation develops, police officials have urged the public to refrain from engaging in spreading unverified content.
Earlier today, the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued a terror alert ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for November 24, warning of potential threats from Fitnah-ul-Khawarij terrorist groups.
According to NACTA, these groups have crossed the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and entered Pakistan on the night of November 19 and 20.
The authority has advised all federal and provincial agencies to enhance security measures in light of the threats.
