Cold grips Karachi as mercury drops to 10 degrees Celsius
Winter knocks door in Karachi; mercury drops to 16.5C at night
The intensity of cold has increased in most parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold wave will continue till December 14.
Apart from this, the cold weather has also griped Karachi as the city’s temperature reached 10 degrees. Lahore recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees, Islamabad 3 degrees, Peshawar 6 degrees and Quetta minus 2 degrees.
On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Quetta Valley this morning at minus 4 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature in Kalat was minus 6, 0 in Nokundi, 7 degrees Celsius in Gwadar, and 9 degrees Celsius in Sibi.
There is severe cold in Ziarat valley as well, water in tanks and pipes has turned to ice. Cold winds in Ziarat have paralyzed the daily life.
Due to lack of gas in extreme cold, people are facing severe difficulties.
