Chinese company receives extortion threats in Sindh
A Chinese company working on the Kashmore-Kandhkot-Indus Highway has received an extortion slip.
According to the details, the Chinese construction company working on the Kashmore-Kandkot-Indus Highway received an extortion slip demanding Rs5 million in cash, two mobile phones and a motorcycle. The civil engineering construction corporation wrote a letter to the federal government informing about the situation.
According to the text of the letter, the bandit named Buddal called the construction manager and demanded Rs5 million cash and other things and threatened to harm company’s workers if the demand is not met.
In a letter, the Chinese company informed the SP Kashmore and DC Kashmore about the threats. The company alleged that the local administration had completely failed to provide security.
In a government initiative, the home department, acting immediately on the letter received from the Chinese company, has directed the DG Rangers to provide security to the Chinese company.
According to sources, Rangers and other security agencies have been mobilized to provide security to the company operating in the area.
