‘Missing persons’ reported by BYC found in ‘BLA, BLF terrorist camps’

07 January, 2025 19:55

A disturbing pattern has emerged in the ongoing search for missing persons in Balochistan, with growing evidence linking these individuals to terrorist organisations such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).

Many of those reported as missing are later discovered to have joined militant groups or undergone terrorist training.

In a significant revelation, Mahrang, a prominent protest leader, admitted that several individuals who were killed in terrorist camps during recent strikes in Iran were her own relatives.

This shocking admission has sparked further concerns about the true fate of those labeled as missing, suggesting they may be involved in these militant movements.

In another high-profile case, Wadood Satekzai, the sister of a suicide bomber, falsely reported him as a missing person before his involvement in terrorism was exposed. Similarly, the suicide bomber responsible for the attack on Gwadar Port had also been initially listed as missing before his terrorist ties were uncovered.

The most recent case emerged from the Turbat attack last week. An individual who had been missing for several months was discovered to have spent seven months training with militants before participating in the deadly assault. The parents of the missing individual were actively searching for him during this time, unaware of his terrorist activities.

Experts now advise families of missing persons to consider that their loved ones may be involved in BLA or BLF camps. With insights from individuals like Samideen and Mahrang, who have knowledge of these groups and their operations, families may be able to find answers regarding the fate of their relatives.

Seeking the truth behind these “missing person” claims may be critical in preventing further tragedies and exposing the true nature of those involved in these militant activities.
