Tyson Fury retires form professional boxing

Tyson Fury aka ‘The Gypsy King’ has announced his retirement from the professional boxing.

Fury announced his retirement on Instagram just weeks after his lost in a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

In a short video message, Tyson Fury stated, “I’m going to keep this brief. I’m officially retiring from boxing. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’ve cherished every moment. I’m going out on my own terms.”

This isn’t the first time, he announced his departure from the spot. He previously announced his departure from the ring in 2022 after defeating Dillian Deontay Wilder.

However, he returned a year later to face Derek Chisora.

The 36-year-old also briefly retired in 2013 and 2017, both times making the announcement online.

His latest retirement announcement comes amidst much speculation about a potential fight with fellow British heavyweight, Anthony Joshua.

However, Tyson Fury has decided to step away from the ring for good.

Fury’s retirement marks the end of an era for heavyweight boxing. He leaves behind a legacy of thrilling fights with a record of 37 fights, 34 wins with 24 by KOs and only two loses. He drew one fight against Deontay Wilder.
