Musk slams AI mega project backed by Trump
Elon Muskβs $1tn Tesla pay plan opposed by Norwayβs top wealth fund
Elon Musk cast doubt on a $500 billion AI project that announced by US President Donald Trump and said the money promised for the investment actually wasn’t there.
His comment marked a rare instance of a split between the world’s richest man and Trump. Musk played a key role in the newly administration after spending $270 million on the poll campaign.
Trump had announced a key investment to build infrastructure for artificial intelligence led by Japanese giant SoftBank and ChatGPT-maker OpenAI.
The president said that the venture that is called Stargate will invest $500 billion in AI infrastructure in the United States.”
However, in a post on social media platform X, Elon Musk said the main investors “donβt actually have the money.”
He added that the SoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority.
